Weather alert for March 5: Move to eLearning

Our district is temporarily moving to eLearning today, Wednesday, March 5, because of the heavy snowfall and strong winds. This means students, kindergarten through grade 12, will stay home and use their school-provided device to learn. Your child’s teacher(s) will connect with your family on further details.

All other district programming has been canceled as part of the temporary move to eLearning, including Kidstop and Four Star Express programs as well as early childhood/preschool. After-school/evening activities are also canceled except for those preparing for section or state playoffs. Coaches will share more information on this.

Unless notified otherwise, students will be expected to attend school as scheduled on Thursday, March 6.

Please know this decision has been made for the safety of students and staff. Additionally, our district’s large and complex transportation system doesn’t allow for a late start option.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility with this news. Stay tuned to district279.org
